Do I have enough material for an actor website?

This is going to be a short one, but I’ve been getting this question from actors just getting in the industry- how to know if you have enough material for your actor website?

Let me start by saying- you probably have more than you think. If you have good quality pictures of yourself, you have enough to create a basic website.

So start from there, and begin collecting materials. Maybe you’ve filmed a short sketch in your room recently, or maybe you participated in a 2020 quarantine self tape challenge and you have a few good tapes out of it that you can make into your “Quarantine Reel” until you get to work with other people.

Perhaps you were a model/dancer, or you have recorded voice overs in the past, these absolutely should have a place on your site.

As long as you have good quality material that represents you accurately, I believe it’s never too early to start collecting all of your materials in one, organised place.

Do you agree? Do you have a different opinion about starting an actor website? Reach out to me and let me know, I always love hearing from you 🙂
